Are you planning a beach getaway? If yes, you will want to pack light for the beach vacation. You will want to opt for one backpack that can hold everything that you need for the beach getaway.
Since safety comes first, you will want to secure your backpack with a locker to keep the things inside safe and discourage people from attempting to steal something from your backpack.
With that said, read on to learn more about the essential travel tips on what and how to pack light for your upcoming beach vacation.
Things That Go in the Toiletry Bag
You will want to pack your toiletries separately in a bag – your shampoo, deodorant, conditioner, sun-protective cream (for the hair as well), soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, and a hair comb. You will want to avoid packing products in big bottles.
Depending on the number of days you want to spend on the beach vacation, you will want to shift your essential toiletry products from bog containers into small-sized portable containers exclusively made for traveling purposes.
Things that Are Beach Essentials
Again, depending on the number of days for your beach vacation, you will want to opt for at least two swimsuits. For variety, you will want to pack a one piece swimsuit with a bikini swimsuit.
Of course, you will need a beach towel – you will be using the beach towel for various purposes – covering the sand, using it as a cover-up around the waist, etc. On the safe side, you will also want to pack a microfiber towel – sometimes, the places where you would want to stay at night don’t offer towels, so it is better to take your own towel.
The microfiber towel dries fast – it is portable and very light to carry.
When it comes to beach essentials, you will need sunscreen as well – one for your body and one for your face. Also, typically, there are mosquitoes on the beach – so you will want to pack a mosquito repellant as well.
Beaches offer swimming goggles – but – it is always better to carry one’s own pair of goggles as you know that the goggles fit you well. You might also want to pack a raincoat – the portable one that you can fold and make extra small to add to your backpack.
The weather is quite unpredictable, and you never know when it will start to rain. This is specifically true if you have chosen a beach from the tropical region for your beach vacation destination.
You will need to have a power adapter as well – the last thing that you want to do is for your tech gadgets to run out of battery. Preferably, choose a power adapter that works for many regions and for different outlets.
Similarly, you will need to pack a power bank as well. Sometimes, you are out for an entire day on the beach and don’t have a place to charge your phone, which is where the power bank comes in.
Makeup Essentials for the Beach Vacation
Of course, you will have to pack some makeup things as well – as women – we need our glam wherever we go. To pack lightly, you will want to skip the big makeup bag and carry your makeup in a small portable that you can then adjust into your backpack.
When it comes to makeup, you will want to be mindful and bring only specific things with you for the beach vacation. Suppose you would want to go to a beach party at night; you will need the essentials – foundation, setting powder (absolutely mandatory because you will be sweating at the beach), highlighter, lipstick, mascara, and eyeliner.
Nonetheless – the makeup choice is personal and depends on your preferences – what you like the most. Just make sure it is waterproof so you can enjoy the beach party.
Clothing Essentials for the Beach
To pack your clothes for the beach vacation, we recommend packing cubes to pack your clothes compactly and make them fit into your backpack. You can put more clothes inside the packing cubes without making the bag bulky.
Of course, you will be packing your swimsuits, undergarments, tops, pajamas, shorts, loose trousers, loose shirts, and tees. It is essential to mention that you will want to keep a few spare plastic bags with you to put your wet or dirty clothes into, as you wouldn’t want to mix the wet/ dirty clothes with your clean and dry clothes.
Place your travel documents, such as your ID and passport, into a waterproof and fireproof document pouch that you can easily fold and keep in your backpack.
Don’t forget to bring your medicines and Band-Aids with you. Make sure that the meds are kept at an accessible spot in your backpack so you can retrieve them instantly – in case of emergency.
